This journey in parenting comes with no rule book. Being a mom boss comes with so many rule books a.k.a. courses and freebies, that it can be hard to know which method will work for you. I discovered that podcasts can help with all of this! And I still thank God for the blessed day that I discovered what a podcast was(cue the angel chorus and the praise hands emoji).
I seriously can not put the amount of gratitude I have in one post, but I can share my list! I decided I wanted to help you have more productive, inspiring, and uplifting days in motherhood just like I have since incorporating listening to podcasts in my daily routine.
When you’re frustrated because your house seems to be messy every day regardless of how many times you clean it, or if you’re struggling with balancing work, self-care, and motherhood there’s an episode for it. If you are wondering how to launch your brand new business or struggling to figure out whether you should market your new course through Facebook ads or Pinterest, there’s an episode for it. If you’re plagued with that lonely feeling that so many of us stay at home/ work at home moms run in to, good news, there’s an episode for it! Not to mention the inspiration you will receive from hearing the stories of women who managed to reach success despite the curve balls life had thrown at them.
I really can’t stress enough how important it is to take care of our mental health so we can be the best versions of ourselves that we possibly can for our families. Incorporating podcasts into your daily routine will do all of this, and push you to grow into the amazing boss mama you are capable of being.
Now that I’ve gotten the details out the way… let’s answer this common question I found on Google.
How Do I Find Podcast
At first, I wondered if this was really something moms were asking, but then I remembered that I thought that purple podcast icon on my iPhone screen was just there for decoration for at least 4 years before I ever tapped it! Crazy right?!
So this is for my mamas who are where I was back then because I wish someone would have told me how life-changing it would have been for me if I had learned how to find podcasts that were specific to my situation.
Girl! I struggled so bad with navigating the podcast app at first, that I needed a tutorial on how to play and subscribe to episodes! So for those who are just as tech-challenged as I was, I’ve broken the process down into really simple steps.
Now, just a heads up before I go into these. I am an iPhone user but I will try my best to make it simple for Android users as well.
- Find the purple podcast icon on your screen
- Search By Keyword or Show Name
- Search by Category
- Subscribe & Download Your Faves
Androidcentral.com has wonderful detailed pictures for my visual mom friends. So head over there if you want to see pictures. But here are the steps.
- Download the Google Play app if you don’t have it yet.
- You’ll see the menu button on the top left. Go into your menu
- You will see Podcasts
- Once you tap on podcasts, you’re able to search by keyword or show title
- You can also search by Category or Top Charts.
- Next, subscribe and download your faves
- You also have the option to receive notifications by tapping the checkbox next to notifications
Hope these steps make it easier for you to navigate!
Without further ado… my choices for best mom podcasts of 2019.

Anna Faris Is Unqualified
Ok, so let me just let you know that I am a little biased about this show because I looove Anna Faris! If you have seen House Bunny, Scary Movie 2,3 or 4, or the show Mom, you have enjoyed her work. She keeps you laughing on this podcast as well. If your ears are sensitive to profanity, you’ll want to know that there is a small amount of profanity. However! It is a really good laugh!
I hope that at least one of these podcast suggestions brightens up your day! If so, I would love to hear all about it, so drop a comment girlfriend!
